In related news, Carolina Panther’s quarterback Cam Newton won the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award over the past weekend — the first Panther to win the coveted award and the first Heisman Trophy winner to win since 1997. Newton was also named the AP Offensive Player of the Year.
In other related news, the Governor was involved in a minor traffic accident following the game in Santa Clara. According to sources, Governor McCrory was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by the California Highway Patrol vehicle at the time. While Governor McCrory had minor pain from the accident, fortunately he was able to continue to his destination in another vehicle.
