Today’s Sunday Morning Music selection celebrates the beauty of Autumn. Without a doubt, North Carolina is one of the best places in the entire world to see the brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows of the changing leaves.
This is the Autumn movement from Dan Locklair’s “Symphony of Seasons” commissioned in part by The North Carolina Symphony and Salisbury Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Locklair, a native of Charlotte, is the award-winning Composer-in-Residence and Professor of Music at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. The images are provided by master photographer Ken Bennett, also of Wake Forest. Mr. Bennett was named 2014 National Photographer of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The National Forest Service has an excellent article on its website describing all the best places to see the extraordinary beauty of the Old North State. So get yourself outside and enjoy it — before it’s all gone.
